Get First Aid Fast With The Easy Care? All Purpose Kit

It’s like having a doctor by your side

As any parent or grandparent will tell you, accidents are a fact of life for active families. Whether at home or on holiday, when a family member or loved one sustains an injury, the ability to quickly and effectively provide first aid can mean the difference between suffering a minor or a potentially life threatening health problem. Unfortunately, too many kits sold at retail are of no help to consumers in such situations. Often comprised of nothing more than white plastic boxes of Band-Aids, these poorly designed kits contain substandard components that offer little or no useful direction on applying first aid when it matters most – in an emergency. Thankfully, there’s the NEW Easy Care All Purpose Soft-Sided First Aid Kit (MSRP$19.99) from Tender Corp.

The secret to the Easy Care kit is its system of organization, which groups all the materials and tools needed to treat a particular type of injury into separate compartments (e.g. Wound Care/Burn, CPR/Bleeding, Fracture/Sprain, Medication/Instruments). The system (also called Easy Care™) was designed to provide quick access to materials, allowing users to quickly and safely administer first aid. Each section in the Easy Care™ kit comes with its own instructional card on how to treat a particular type of injury. This unique system was created by Dr. Eric A. Weiss, co-founder of Tender Corp. subsidiary Adventure Medical Kits and a practicing emergency room physician at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.

Recognizing the inadequacy of traditional medical kits, Dr. Weiss looked for inspiration in the form of the highly organized, comprehensive trays of tools he received each time he treated a particular condition or injury in the emergency room. Weiss realized immediately that medical kits for consumers should be organized the same way – everything needed for a particular kind of injury packaged together, with the addition of clear instructional cards to treat each injury. From that insight, came the Easy Care™ system, a breakthrough in first aid kits. Additionally, Dr. Weiss sought to stock the kits with only hospital quality components (see attached "Kit Contents Comparison" doc for a breakdown of materials) that consumers could rely on in a time of emergency, especially during a natural or manmade disaster when access to professional medical expertise may not be accessible for days.

The health of a loved one is far too important to entrust to a kit that may or may not get the job done. Ideal for the home, holiday destination or the car, The Easy Care Kit should be a mainstay in the lives of all American families this summer and all year round.
