Does AfterBite® have an expiration date? I don't see one on the package.
The FDA requires expiration dating on products with less than a 36 month stability program. If drug manufactures can provide information that their product is stable & effective beyond that time period, no expiration dating is required. After Bite's stability program for the active ingredient went to 42 months, providing effective treatment for insect bites even beyond that point. Therefore we do not mark the containers with expiration dating.
How often can I apply AfterBite®?
All of our AfterBite® products contain natural ingredients and are not harmful if used in accordance with the package instructions. They are safe to reapply as often as needed to relieve the pain, itching and swelling associated with insect bites and stings.
Is AfterBite® safe to use when you are pregnant?
AfterBite® is regulated by the FDA, however we have not conducted any tests on the safety of our product for pregnant women. The active ingredient in AfterBite® is ammonia. We recommend that you consult your Doctor if you have a question about the use of After Bite during pregnancy.
My child is allergic to tree nuts, is tea tree oil related?
Tea Tree oil is an extract from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alium tree. Tea tree oil would not be in the same category as tree nuts, however you should check with your doctor before using AfterBite® and perhaps do a small test.
